Kirista Trask is an Abstract Mixed Media Artist from Portland, Oregon. Kirista studied Sculpture at the University of Oregon but found that Abstract Mixed Media expresses her truest voice and is her most natural language. Kirista uses texture, marking making and vivid colors to document moments spent exploring new places and old memories.
Inner Graffiti explores the exchange of energy from natural environment through the artist and into art form. Inner Graffiti includes moments spent in Puerto Rico, The California Redwoods and Mt Hood through a sketchbook series titled The 100 Day Project. These sketchbook pages were created at campfires, on beaches, and in the forest. Inner Graffiti is the filter through which Kirista experienced the world.
Show Closes 16 December 2016
